Mind the Gap

We celebrated Mother's Day with a wonderful day trip to Cumberland Gap National Park.

We walked up to the Pinnacle Overlook, which looks out over Kentucky, Virginia, and Tennessee. Matt got to walk the state line between KY and VA.

Matt proved to be a good little hiker, although he did violate federal law by picking a wildflower before we could stop him. I'm sure it's only the first of many such offenses.

Ok.. picking a flower is one thing, but it looks to me like he's also killed a possum!!

Yay, Virginia! You know you miss it here. Even though you were only here 2 years.

Did you know the Cumberland Gap is West of Detroit?
