Flyboys

Our little London airport had an Open House today, with vintage aircraft, cars and rescue vehicles. Grandpa, being a fan of all of the above, drove up to join us. Grandma, having been dragged to - er, I mean, having accompanied Grandpa to approximately 6.000 vintage air museums and air shows in the past, opted out of this trip for a quiet afternoon at home. Which probably would have been nice, if not for the dead deer she discovered in the backyard after Grandpa left. Poor Grandma. But I digress.

Some good stuff at the air show:

We all got to walk through a C-130 Hercules, which was pretty cool. Grandpa worked with these planes early in his grad school career and enjoyed getting to show Matt around the inside. The airmen also got a kick out of Matt and gave him a complimentary air sickness bag, which I imagine might be useful in one of those things. Beats having to throw up in your helmet.

Matt had a great time, and is well on his way to becoming as big a geek as his parents. We're so proud.
