We took the boy fishing for the first time today. Although all he caught were some weeds, he did pretty well learning the basics and following directions, which is always a good thing. I think he (and Charles) had a fine time.
The state park we went to was lovely. After fishing, we were able to rent pedal boats and toured Matt around the lake for a while on one. He was delighted with being on a boat for the first time and insisted on manning the rudder.
Any day on or near the water is a good day in my book.
