That was the sound of our car accident this morning.
We were on our way to UK for a follow-up with Matt when we were rear-ended, hard. We were stopped for a red light and the girl who hit us didn't see everyone stopped. She was going at least 35 or 40 mph. She hit us hard enough that the numbers from our license plate are imprinted on what's left of my bumper. Her air bags deployed, her car was totalled and they took her off to the hospital.
We are fine, but really sore. The EMTs checked Matt out at the scene and said he was okay; he was totally entranced by the fire truck. We took him to his regular pediatrician this afternoon as a precaution, and he seems fine. My car is pretty banged up and is making a funny noise. Blah.
We definitely have a case of the Mondays here.

Oh no!!! I'm so glad you guys are okay, but pay attention tomorrow and the next day. You might feel worse and need a return doctor visit. Don't hesitate! That's just terrible, but I am happy it was not worse. Take care of yourselves!
