We're home from the hospital and all is well. Matt was a trooper through the whole thing - he is a seriously tough kid. One of the interesting effects of the surgery is that he is now crying bloody tears, which is disconcerting and cool in a Le Chiffre kind of way, all at the same time.
We go for a recheck in two weeks, and hopefully this will have been his last surgery!
