We've made it through another pumpkin carving season with no serious injuries. Hurrah! It's the little things, really. Matt, having thoroughly enjoyed the pumpkin carving experience
last year, couldn't wait to do it again. He begged for eight pumpkins - we compromised on six. However, once he discovered that I wasn't going to let him actually
carve this pumpkins this year, he quickly lost interest. I guess he thought his kindergarten status qualified him to wield a paring knife. Um, not quite. He did help clean the pumpkins, although his contribution mainly consisted of him running around the yard screeching "Pumpkin guts! I have PUMPKIN GUTS!" Nice.
But at last all six pumpkins are completed, ready for trick-or-treaters tomorrow night. We're looking forward to seeing them all lit up.
